About the Artist

Welcome!

I'm Sarah Jewell, owner and self-taught artist behind SJ Illustration. I've loved drawing from the time I could first hold a pencil. Though I did not follow an art-related career path, it has always been a constant joy in my life and I have circled back to it time and time again.

After years of creating custom bookmarks, cards, and drawings as gifts for family and friends, I made the leap and opened my own shop. I love using various mediums in my work, but my primary tools are alcohol markers. 

My illustrations cover a wide spectrum of subjects: from fashion and casual wear, to whimsical doodles, fantasy, and simple moments from everyday life. I hope to add more services soon, such as commission work and customizable illustrations.
