About the Artist

Welcome!

I'm Sarah Jewell, owner and artist behind SJ Illustration. I've always loved drawing from the time I could first hold a pencil. Though I did not follow an art-related career path, it has always been a constant joy in my life and I have circled back to it time and time again.

A lack of any formal art education or training has not deterred me from sharing my work on various social media platforms. After years of creating custom bookmarks, cards, and drawings as gifts, I recently made the leap and opened a shop. I love using various mediums in my work, but my primary tools are alcohol markers. 

My illustrations cover a wide spectrum of subjects: from fashion and casual wear, to whimsical doodles, fantasy, and simple moments from everyday life. As a new mom, I don't yet have the time to offer custom illustrations except on rare occasion, but hope to offer it someday on a regular basis.
